From time to time it’s good to take a look at your progress as you work toward reaching your fundraising goal by a specific deadline. You might be surprised! The question I want to pose is based on how long it will take you to reach your goal based on your past performance. Here is what you will need to know.
What is your dollar goal? i.e. $4,000 a month
How many dollars are left to raise? I.e. $3000
How much you have raised on a weekly basis (average)? I.e. $125
How many weeks are left to reach your deadline i.e. 10 weeks
Knowing this you can take the dollars left to raise i.e. $3000 and divide it by how much you have raised on a weekly basis i.e. $125
The answer in this scenario—it would take you 24 weeks.
If I were raising funds and had a deadline to meet, this would be a reality check and a wakeup call which would cause me to be more intentional in my fund raising.
