Tip - Be Cautious of Ineffective Fund Raising Tools
I have watched people recommend numerous fund raising tools for more than 30 years. I will guarantee you that there are plenty of ideas out there on how to raise money, such as:
· Bake sales
· Selling candy bars
· Car washes
Be cautious. You need to ask such questions as:
1. How much money will I actually raise?
2. How much money will it cost for me to pull off this fund raising event?
3. How much time will it take?
4. Will it effectively and efficiently allow me to build relationships with key prospects or existing donors for future gifts?
There is no substitute for building relationships with people (People Raising). As you grow that relationship not only will they give multiple gifts, but they more than likely will upgrade their giving and lead you to others.
