3 Questions on your Prospect's Mind

3 Questions on your Prospect's Mind

(Note, this month's email newsletter will be the final issue from Bill Dillon. Thank you for all your efforts to serve God and invite others to share in the important work you do.)

As you communicate with your prospects and donors, recognize that there are 3 questions that need to be answered by you:

1. What is your financial goal?

Your prospects need to have you articulate that goal in terms of dollars and cents.

2. How close are you to reaching your goal?

Are you 90% from reaching your goal? 50%? 10%? Prospects want to see you succeed, but they want to see your progress toward reaching your goal.

3. How can I personally help you reach your goal?

Knowing your financial goal and how close you are to reaching your goal leads to a very logical question, how can I personally help you reach your goal?

At this point, you need to not only ask for their financial support, but raise their vision and challenge them. In part they are saying: where can I fit in financially?

Answering these 3 questions is critical as you seek to raise the funds for your ministry.
